Similar to Ocho Rios and Montego Bay, Port Antonio, has two separate facilities. The cargo is handled at Boundbrook Wharf, while cruise passengers are accommodated at the Errol Flynn Marina, formerly known as the “Ken Wright Pier”. The Errol Flynn Marina is located at West Harbour and houses the Cruise Ship Pier, Coast Guard Stations, the Marine Police, and a customs office.
The Errol Flynn Marina, however, operates slightly different from the Ocho Rios or Montego Bay Piers by catering mostly to high-end cruise passengers and large yachts on a seasonal basis. The Marina has excellent facilities for a superior yachting experience in one of the world’s most beautiful and protected harbors. Based on the comparatively smaller size of the pier, it accommodates to the smaller vessels (not exceeding 175m long) also called ’boutique cruises’.
After leaving the secure area you will see an organized setting of tour and taxi operators, and craft vendors. The port has a Jamaica Tourist Board JTB information area on specified days. Passengers to the Errol Flynn Marina can enjoy facilities which includes, a pub, beach, diving bay, ice-cream parlor, grill, internet access and information center, accessible for the disabled, and shops and boutiques. It is typical for passengers to take a stroll in the town of Port Antonio, and enjoy its historic and natural beauty.
